GO FINS!

Hello Fins!

Congratulations on not only a great first meet, but also our first win of the season! The final score for was Fox Hall: 957, Tuckahoe Village West: 696. The evening was filled with fast swims and hopefully a fun time for all! Before breaking down some of our accolades, I wanted to take a minute to thank our older swimmers who helped corral the 8 and unders for relays. They did an excellent job of organizing and encouraging, we couldn’t have gotten through the first event without them! Moving along, I would be remiss not to acknowledge that several of our teammates competed in their first ever meet. Well done to these kids (and their parents)! Along with these first-time experiences came a ton of first place finishes in the pool. The following swimmers were triple event winners:
Christopher Connors
Lane Francis
Claire Holloway
Finn Hubbert
Heidi Hubbert
Cassidy Miklos
Owen Miklos
Keira Reid
Claire Sandine
Hannah Thornton
This impressive accomplishment was exceeded by those who notched four wins:
Charlotte Barron
Ella Barron
Paxton Crank
Charles Ellison
Nora Francis
Hunter McAuliffe
Reece McAuliffe
Sanna Peterson
Sophia Rodriguez
Sam Sweetser
Christian Thornton

Finally, congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for Champs:
Charlotte Barron
Ella Barron
Christopher Connors
Paxton Crank
Lane Francis
Nora Francis
Grace Marshall
Hunter McAuliffe
Peyton McAuliffe
Reece McAuliffe
Owen Miklos
Riley Miklos
Sanna Peterson
Henry Pietrantoni
Keira Reid
Claire Sandine
Jack Schardt
Sam Sweetser
Abigail Thornton
Christian Thornton
Hannah Thornton

For those new to the team, in order to qualify for Champs your swimmer must earn a JV, V, or SV time in an individual event. We are looking forward to adding to this list as our season progresses. Attached you will find this week’s meet results sorted by swimmer. DQ’s will be discussed with each swimmer individually at practice.

A few items of business as we finish out this week. Please get those RSVP’s in for the next two meets. If you are having trouble using the website, email me at foxhallcoaches@gmail.com whether or not your child will be attending. To aide in the RSVP process we would like to start sending out meet invitations via text message. If you haven’t done so already, please add your cellphone number to your contact info on the website. Moving forward, only athletes who have rsvp’d to the meet will be entered in relays.

Next week we will switch to our summer practice schedule, which is as follows:
4 – 8 yr – 10:00 to 11:00 AM (M – F) and 5:30 to 6:30 PM (M – Th)
9+ – 9:00 to 10:00 AM (M – F) and 6:30 to 7:30 PM (M – Th)
Morning practices are especially beneficial as we have use of the entire pool. Additionally, all our coaching staff will be offering private lessons this summer for those interested. Please contact each coach directly for their rates and availability.
Laurel: laurelreid6@gmail.com
Clark: chou8395@gmail.com
Charles: charlesce102@gmail.com
Sophia: sophiarodriguez32@gmail.com

Finally, there will be no practice this Friday, June 14th as there will be a “School’s Out for Summer” Party at the pool from 5:00-6:30pm.

As always, please reach out with any questions you may have!

Laurel
